Be there as the Bydgoszcz drone scene gets going

People who build and fly, technology that draws a crowd — and a community that is only just growing. A good time to be part of it from the very start.

Initiator: Andrii Shramko

Why now

People who build and fly

Future drone engineers, electronics specialists and operators — in one local crew.

Technology worth showing

An open-source FPV simulator built on 3D scans — a good subject for a joint demo or project.

Local visibility

Once the association is registered: joint events, workshops and content from Bydgoszcz.

Help today: a venue

A hall or warehouse for evening micro-drone flights, a room for workshops — that helps most of all.

We don’t sell sponsorship packages. Today we collect non-binding declarations; agreements come only after the association is registered.

These are not empty words

Photos and videos from what the initiator helped create in Opole. This is how we want to fly in Bydgoszcz too.

Toropol ice rink and the square outside, 9 May 2026: FPV races, simulators, workshops and a kids’ zone. Organisers: City of Opole, MOSiR Opole, Kacper Kwiatkowski, Piotr Kolasa, Andrii Shramko.

Looking for a venue

We’re looking for a venue. Could it be yours?

In Bydgoszcz we don’t yet have a room for workshops or a hall for regular micro-drone flying. We’re looking for an institution, school or company willing to let us use a space free of charge.

Workshop room

  • approx. 20–40 m², tables and power sockets (soldering irons)
  • windows or ventilation
  • 1–2 evenings a month or a weekend

Hall for micro-drone flying

  • a gym or sports hall, ideally approx. 20 × 10 m or larger
  • ceiling height of approx. 5 m or more
  • regularly, e.g. once a week for 2 hours in the evening
  • micro-drones with propeller guards, weighing a few dozen grams

Activities with children and young people are organised by the host — under its own child safeguarding standards. We bring the know-how, simulators and drones. At this stage we sign nothing and pay for nothing.

Alpha version

Fly FPV over a real place — in your browser

ShramkoGSFPV is a free FPV simulator created by Andrii Shramko. You fly over photorealistic 3D scans (Gaussian Splatting) of real places — nothing to install.

  • Free and open source (MIT licence).
  • Over 1,300 public 3D scans to choose from.
  • Your own place: scan it with a drone or phone, then fly it in the simulator.
  • Runs in browsers with WebGPU (Chrome, Edge).

It’s an alpha version — we’re developing it together with pilots.

What exists today and what comes after registration

Today

  • An informal community of enthusiasts and the RC Bydgoszcz group on Facebook.
  • The initiator acts as a private individual.
  • Declarations made through this site are non-binding.
  • We do not collect money or equipment.

Once the association is founded

  • A founding meeting (at least 7 people) and entry in the National Court Register (KRS).
  • Agreements and partnerships with institutions and companies.
  • Our own events, projects and grant applications.

When it is founded depends on how many people get involved.

A few clicks and one text field. I reply personally.

This is a non-binding expression of interest. The association has not yet been founded or registered — at this stage we do not enter into sponsorship agreements and do not accept money or equipment. Andrii Shramko (private individual, initiator) will reply.
